Senior Elementary Specialty Camps

Our Senior Elementary Specialty Camps are focused on engaging those entering grades 4, 5, and 6 in the upcoming school year (campers ages 9 - 12) with specialty activities that are age-appropriate. All our Senior Elementary Specialty Camps will utilize the day to focus on fun learning with our specialty camp program partners. Each of these camps will take body breaks and spend a healthy amount of time outdoors.

For Summer 2024, our Specialty Camps include Mixed Media Art, Rock Band, Musical Theatre, and Coding and Robotics. Scroll below to find out more.

All Specialty camps are stand-alone camps. They are not progressive from week to week.

While the theme may be the same, the weeks are not repeats of each other. For example, while the Art Camp is offered week to week, the projects will vary. Therefore, it is appropriate to join any week.

For all the Senior Elementary Specialty Camps, total camp sizes are small and supervision is maintained at a high level by our camp program partners.

All of our Senior Elementary Specialty Camps will also include a pizza day each week, with vegetarian and lactose-free options available.

Registration is online ONLY

The Register button links directly to our online payment and registration system. We encourage you to add your child to the waitlist if camps are full so that you are the first to hear about increased spaces or additional camps. If you need assistance, please email programs@kmscrhs.ca.

In the first session (July 8-12), the camp will focus on fiction filmmaking, giving participants the chance to develop and create their own stories in a cinematic style. The final day will include a screening for youth and their families of the 2 completed short films.

In the second session (July 22-26), the camp will focus on documentary filmmaking, participants will learn the skills required to interview different subjects about relevant topics, as well as editing authentic videos of real events, and creating an impact by highlighting real-world issues in their projects. The students will showcase their short documentaries to friends and family on the final day.
